In collaboration with RADAR, SALT designed the exteriors around thirty-eight new small lot houses with retail and shared open space in the Northeast Los Angeles neighborhood of Eagle Rock.

Unlike most small lot developments, this site plan prioritizes shared outdoor space so that residents can connect both with nature and one another. Exterior landscape elements such as permeable pavers, groundwater collection, green roofs, and drought tolerant planting all contribute to an environmentally conscious design. Seven of the homes along Eagle Rock Boulevard have separate commercial retail spaces that provide the opportunity for small business owners to live where they work while contributing to the culture of their micro neighborhood.
