The playground at Antonio Maria Lugo Academy offers a range of play spaces mixed with trees and perimeter gardens, offering the students a series of ways to play and gather.
Children can play ball games in the central open space, climb on various play structures, sit quietly in the shade of a row of trees, or crawl through a custom vine-covered tunnel. Teachers bring their students to the outdoor classroom where they gather under the canopy of a large Mulberry tree. A custom fence, recalling the shape of an open book, provides a place to bounce a ball as well as offers a distinctive backdrop for outdoor events.
